NRL launches in Las Vegas with new Steeden
The build up to the NRL season opener in the USA has continued in Las Vegas this week.
NRL players Campbell Graham, Spencer Leniu, Billy Walters and Aaron Woods were among the representatives at the Raiders’ NFL game against Minnesota.
For the first time ever, the NRL Premiership Season will kick-off on American soil in March 2024.
On March 2 2024, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs will face off at Allegiant Stadium, before Sydney Roosters battle with the Brisbane Broncos.
To celebrate the event, a special Steeden has been created which has the US flag-like image embroided on either end of the ball.
This is the ball will be used for the huge double header at the 65,000 capacity stadium.
Broncos star Billy Walters said the new Steeden was the perfect way to celebrate the exciting opportunity to play for premiership points outside of Australia and New Zealand.
“It’s a great design,” Walters said.
“It wasn’t something I knew they were going to do. It looks pretty cool when you are passing it.
“It’ll look good on the tele and for the fans in the stand.”
